My Past Week.

Last weekend Jord decided that he wanted to go on a mini vacation before Lily came. He pretty much is booked with shows and military drill every weekend until November. So we decided to go to LAva. Unfortunately the cheapest place to stay was like $80 and you didn't even get your own bathroom or tv. So we ended up getting a hotel in Pocatello. Jord came home Friday night from work and decided we should just leave that night and go to mom's and dad's for the night. Unfortunately still had work to do before we left so we didn't even leave until 9:00. We were planning on going to the Pocatello Zoo, but mom said she heard it was a crappy zoo and we should go to Tautphaus instead. So we went to the zoo there and then did the rides afterwards. Ayla really enjoyed the airplane rides and the octopus. I couldn't really get a good pic of her on the octopus because everytime they were in front of me they were backwards. AFter that we went to POcatello and got to the hotel and relaxed for a bit. Then we swam in the coldest swimming pool i have ever been in. The next day we went to Lava and swam there for a couple of hours. We wanted to get pizza there, but nothing was open. So we ended up going to Pocatello and eating. It was really nice just to be together as a fam and just relaxing and enjoying time together.

This Wednesday Ayla and i went swimming with our friends Taylor and Lindsey over at my brother-in-law's house. Ayla has really learned to love the water from swimming there. She even jumps off the diving board all by herself and swims the length of the pool with arm floaties. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bad day. We were taking them down the slide and doing okay. They had got done with the slide and were just swimming around for awhile. Then Taylor decided she wanted to go on the slide again. So Lindsey put her on the slide. She was ready to go down and Lindsey was going around to the end to make sure she went down okay. All of a sudden Taylor came falling backwards eight feet down the steps of the slide. She ended up landing on her head. We had to call 911 and she went to the hospital. She had lost concisousness for a minute. She ended up having a fractured skull on the top of her head. She is doing okay, but it sure makes you realize anything can happen to your kids at any time. I have definitely been loving on Ayla a lot more than usual since then.

I had my doctor's appointment this Wednesday also. Everything was great, except for i have a femoral hernia. I have had this lump in my groin area and some excrutiating pain in my leg for at least two months now. Apparently, it is supposed to go away after i deliver and i will just have to deal with the pain until then. Tylenol just isn't doing the job. So other than that, only 10-1/2 weeks to go. Yipee!!!

Well Ayla woke up Thursday at midnight with a sore ear. I was afraid it was an ear infection. Of course Jordan had left for Cedar City for a couple of shows that night and wouldn't be back until late Saturday night. The whole next day it was so sore you couldn't even touch it. Luckily for me, mom and dad were stopping in for the night. They always seem to be here just when i really need them. She didn 't sleep very well Friday night. She kept waking up almost every hour and then Saturday early at about 3:30 a.m. she finally fell asleep and stayed asleep for the night. Her eardrum had ruptured and started to drain. I drained the next day and i thought it was going to be okay, but it still stunk pretty bad. So we went and visted her doctor today and found out the eardrum is still pretty nasty. We got some antibiotics and ear drops and hopefully all will be well. He said he would just need to check on it in 3-4 weeks. It was then that i remember we would be flying in two weeks. He said that if it had healed up it might give her problems, but if not she would be fine. So what do you hope for, a long recovery so she is okay on the plane or a short one so that she gets better sooner.

All About Jordan

Jord was complaining to me yesterday that he didn't have any pics of himself on the blog. So here are some pics of Jord. I told him the problem is that he is the one always taking the pics. In fact, some of the pics here are of him taking a pic of himself. You now officially have more pics of you on here than I do. I love you Jord.

Potty Training.

So I finally decided to start potty training Ayla. It all started when she saw a Chevron commercial with a pink car talking. She said she wanted a pink car and I told her we would get one the next day if she went potty in the toilet. The next day she went potty and so we went and luckily found a pink polly pocket car. She loves cars so we went and bought some Hot wheels to hopefully bribe her into going to the bathroom. So far it is working. She even pooped the other day. She is so cute when she goes. She jumps up with her hands in the air and yells "I did it!" I have noticed if i put a pull-up on her she will undoubtedly pee in them. So when we are home i have been letting her go naked and she holds it in until i put her on the toilet. She is doing way awesome. So today we are out of cars and while we are at the store i think i am going to get some underwear for her and see if she adjusts to them easily. I suspect she will probably have accidents, but am hoping that it won't take long for her to realize they aren't the same as diapers and being wet isn't really all that fun. Wish me good luck. Here is a pic of her cars so far. She loves to drive them everywhere. She has them parked on her bed in this pic.

Andrews-Ross Reunion

This past weekend we had the Andrews-Ross reunion. It was pretty fun. Would have liked to have seen more of my siblings though. Ayla and I got there on Friday about 4:15 and the others didn't show up until late that night. So we spent most of that day hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma Andrews. This is the first time Ayla has really spent any time with them. It didn't take her long to get her Great Grandpa Andrews to go and do whatever she wanted. At one point I called mom and told her they better hurry or dad would be replaced by his own father. On Saturday we had fun playing cards with Kent, Lynnette, Nellie, the grandparents, mom, and dad. Ayla spent an hour or so on some slip-n-slides that they had there for the kids to play on. She looked so funny with her diaper that i had to post the pics. HOpefully they come through okay because it was pretty bright outside. She went in the water before i got her a swimming diaper on her and as you can imagine she was completely logged down with water. She played so hard that she ended up going into the tent by herself and taking a nap. I may be a little partial, but i think i have the cutest little girl. Andy spent most of the time trying to rebrainwash Ayla by getting her to say that he was the best. Don't worry Keeley, she still says you are the best. Andy is now the best uncle. Overall it was a great time, just hanging out with family and relaxing.

Just a few pics I have been meaning to send.

So here is an update of my life. Yes it is all about Ayla. She seems like the only thing I really take care of these days. Not that I am complaining. I wouldn't want it any other way. So we had our ultrasound last week and we are having a girl. Jordan's face completely lit up when he found out. He is so excited to have another little girl. They are pretty fun I have to admit. From the ultrasound pic, this baby looks a lot different than Ayla. I am sure she will be a cutie though. Ayla has been pretty excited about her little sis. Today she got to feel her kick. She had to lift up my shirt to make sure it was really the baby and I wasn't tricking her. She has been taking care of her babies a lot these days too. She has to put them up to the table and "feed" them. She even puts them to bed and tells me "shh". Anyway, here is a picture of Smooch and three of her four babies. Every once in awhile she forgets where she puts one and we have to hunt it down.

Ayla has been giving me fits when it comes to sleeping. For the past few nights I haven't been able to get her to sleep until 11:00 or later. I usually check on her when she sleeps. It is kind of a guily pleasure. She sleeps so deep that I can totally love on her and she doesn't even wake up. Well I went to check on her during her nap the other day and this is how I found her. At least she kept her diaper on.

So Ayla has been afraid of laying down in the tub on her back. She has been taking baths with her friend Taylor and all of a sudden got over her fear. Her favorite thing to do in the bath is lie on her back and talk really loud because she can't hear as well with her ears under the water. She has also started to tell me which towel she wants. Tonight she wanted her bunny towel. So I got that and then she was asking for my hair towel. She looked so cute I had to take a picture. What a cutie.

I had taken this picture of Ayla awhile back and couldn't believe how much she looked like Tymber. You can definitely tell they are family. I have had people say that our family gene pool is small and now I see why.

Little Dancer

So it seems i have a little dancer on my hands. Ayla will go and pick out a CD, put it in the player, and then tell me "I wanna dance." She only likes it if there is a drum beat though. She will stop dancing if there isn't. And it has to be "fast" music. She is such a cutie. I would put the video ont, but it is way too big of a file. So here are some pics of her and Taylor dancing with their microphones.
