Lily at 7-1/2 months

Jordan's grandpa had a birthday party on Sunday at his aunt's house. They have the most beautiful yard. I decided to get some pics of Lily while we were there. We would have taken some of Ayla, but she is at grandpa and grandma Andrews house for the week. Here is just a few of many that were taken. Trying to get a baby to look at the camera when there are a bunch of people around isn't the easiest thing to do.

Utah Arts Festival

On Friday Jordan and his band played in Salt Lake City for the Utah Arts Festival. It wasn't his original band, but the tribute band that they play in. Basically they have the band called The Wailing O'Sheas. They play Drop Kick Murphy and some other Irish punk music. I took Ayla and Lily down to watch them. It was pretty fun. It was a little on the hot side so after they were done playing we just went home instead of enjoying the rest of the exhibits and things.

Cherries

We have a cherry tree in our backyard. This is really the first year I have picked the cherries off. The reason is that the birds have always eaten most of them before they were ripe. Well this year for some reason the birds have left most of them alone. I don't know if maybe the word has spread that our crazy bulldog mutt Daisy is a huge bird killer. She actually climbed a fence one time to jump up at a bird sitting in a tree near the fence. Poor thing. We ended up just having to put it out of its misery. But if it keeps the birds out of my cherry tree then so be it. Unfortunately, we didn't spray for worms. I had opened up about 50 and only found one with a worm. They are pretty tasty too.

Up

We took Ayla to see Up in 3D. I really am learning to hate peoples opinions of movies. We had heard this was the best Pixar ever. Well I had really high hopes obviously, but then in the end it was just a good movie. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it. I just didn't see the hype over it. Here is a pic of Ayla with the 3D glasses on. We had a really bad experience at the movie to top it all off. The sound was horrible and you could barely understand what was even being said the whole movie. Maybe it would have been better if I could have heard it. Needless to say, they ended up refunding our money after the show was over.

Father's Day and Birthdays

Jord was out of town for father's day this year so I decided I would spend father's day with my father. We also have three birthdays within a week or so as well so we decided to celebrate them on Sunday. Here are just some random pics of siblings and cousins hanging out. I really need to be better about taking more pics and making sure the batteries are charged.

Snake River Landing

We went to Snake River Landing last weekend while we were in Idaho. They had some festival or something going on so we decided we would check it out. We got there just in time for Ayla to look out over the river, for us to eat some food, the storm to roll in, and for us to run to the car and go home. I did get a few pics while we were eating. Sorry they aren't the best of pictures.

Lily

Just had to post this pic. She is such a sweetie. She loves when people talk to her. She will always give them a smile. If only she would sleep at night, she just might be the perfect baby. Oh wait, and take a bottle and not be a mommy's girl.

Christmas Train

On Tuesday we went to Ogden to see the Disney's "A Christmas Carol" train. It was here promoting the show that will be coming out this November. Basically it was four train cars that you walked through and looked at things and video of the movie. It was pretty cool. The first two cars had old English clothes and Charles Dickens books on loan from the London Museum. The next two cars were showing how they used morphing to turn actors into many characters. Like Jim Carey plays Bob Crachit, Tiny Tim, and Scrooge. They also showed how they used suits and things to make it 3D. They had models of the house they used for the cartoon. They are just white and then they add the color into the cartoon. I don't know if i can really explain it all that well. Anyway, at the end they had computers where you could morph your own face into Tiny Tim, the ghost of Christmas Past, or Scrooge. It was hilarious to see. Anyway, here are some pics of the day. It was really fun to get out with Jord and the girls and enjoy the morning together.
