Father's Day and Birthdays

Jord was out of town for father's day this year so I decided I would spend father's day with my father. We also have three birthdays within a week or so as well so we decided to celebrate them on Sunday. Here are just some random pics of siblings and cousins hanging out. I really need to be better about taking more pics and making sure the batteries are charged.

Snake River Landing

We went to Snake River Landing last weekend while we were in Idaho. They had some festival or something going on so we decided we would check it out. We got there just in time for Ayla to look out over the river, for us to eat some food, the storm to roll in, and for us to run to the car and go home. I did get a few pics while we were eating. Sorry they aren't the best of pictures.

Lily

Just had to post this pic. She is such a sweetie. She loves when people talk to her. She will always give them a smile. If only she would sleep at night, she just might be the perfect baby. Oh wait, and take a bottle and not be a mommy's girl.

Christmas Train

On Tuesday we went to Ogden to see the Disney's "A Christmas Carol" train. It was here promoting the show that will be coming out this November. Basically it was four train cars that you walked through and looked at things and video of the movie. It was pretty cool. The first two cars had old English clothes and Charles Dickens books on loan from the London Museum. The next two cars were showing how they used morphing to turn actors into many characters. Like Jim Carey plays Bob Crachit, Tiny Tim, and Scrooge. They also showed how they used suits and things to make it 3D. They had models of the house they used for the cartoon. They are just white and then they add the color into the cartoon. I don't know if i can really explain it all that well. Anyway, at the end they had computers where you could morph your own face into Tiny Tim, the ghost of Christmas Past, or Scrooge. It was hilarious to see. Anyway, here are some pics of the day. It was really fun to get out with Jord and the girls and enjoy the morning together.

Happy Birthday!

There are so many birthdays in both Jordan's and I's families in May.  Last Monday we had a get-together with Sara and Jimmy because they were not able to come to our party on Tuesday for Jordan and Ayla.  That night we made dinner and then had cake.  I decided I would put ever last candle on that cake.  It is also Jimmy's birthday on the 30th so we celebrated it as well.  In all there were 59 candles on the cake.  As the picture was being taken, Lily decided she would grab a glass off the table and completely shatter it.  It was such a mess to clean up.

Then on Tuesday we had a party with Jordan's family for him and Ayla.  Ayla said she wanted a dragonfly cake so i did my best.  We just had a bbq and hung out with the family.  And of course we had some peach pie for Jordan.  That his the one thing he has to have on his birthday is homemade peach pie.

This past Memorial Day weekend we went to Idaho.  We generally go camping, but we ended up just hanging out with mom and dad and the fam.  It was really fun.  We had another birthday party on Saturday for Jordan, Ayla, Nellie, and Conner.  So many birthdays.  We played games and ate more food.  Ayla wanted a car cake for this party and it had to be blue.

Today is Jord's birthday so we went to Tony's Pizza in Ogden. It is his favorite pizza place, mostly because of the dressing they put on their salads. We even had to buy a bottle to bring home. Then his mother made him another peach pie so we went over there to eat some. Apparently, you can never have too much peach pie.

Anyway, just wanted to say happy birthday to my fam, especially my awesome husband and adorable daughter.  Only one more year Jord.  Enjoy it!!!

What do you get?

What do you get when you take a 3-year-old, a nearly new role of toilet paper, and a toilet?

The very next day I found about half a roll in the garbage can. Kids!

Randy

Today is the 3rd year anniversary of Jordan's dad passing away.  It is so fitting that he passed away on this day.  He loved Mexican food and was always speaking Spanish to me.  He loved to tell jokes.  I am sure I heard some of his jokes 4-5 times, but I still laughed at them because he would always get a kick out of telling a joke.  He was a great guy.  I wish my kids would have got to meet him.  He passed away two weeks before our first kid was born.  We will never forget you.  We will all drink a Coke for you tonight.  Happy Cinco de Mayo!  We love you and miss you.
